Radiation-resistant glasses for optical purposes
Description
By means of incorporating cerium it is possible to produce discoloration-stabilized or so-called radiation-resistant glasses, which can be used in optical systems of nuclear technology without losing their usefulness by the influence of ionizing radiation. A survey about such special glasses from the fabrication program of the VEB Jenaer Glaswerk is given. (author)
