Description
The paper examines a spectrometric procedure of registration of γ-radiation in a scintillation detector. The procedure discussed makes it possible to achieve a multichannel registration in spatially separated beams of gamma-quanta by using a single photoelectron multiplier. We have determined the perturbations of the flow of the registered radiation caused by the overlapping of the amplitude spectra and the 'repumping' of the scattered radiation from one crystal into another. Taking these perturbations into account, we have obtained analytical expressions, establish the functional relation between the parameters of scintillation crystals, the performance of the photoelectron multiplier, the required value of the relative light yield of the sci ntillation crystals and the various physical and technological parameters of article control
