Teratomatous medulloepithelioma in the spinal cord of a dog

Description

A young dog was presented with signs suggestive of thoracolumbar spinal cord compression. Myelography demonstrated a right-side mass at the thoracolumbar junction. Surgical exploration revealed a mass on the surface of the spinal cord which was diagnosed tentatively as either spinal cord abscess or neoplasm. After brief limited improvement, the dog deteriorated and was euthanized. A teratomatous medulloepithelioma of the spinal cord was diagnosed histologically
