The extent of bonding of newly synthesized DNA to parent template in unirradiated cells as a prediction of radiation sensitivity

Description
The nature of newly synthesized DNA in several mammalian cell lines has been investigated by hydroxylapatite chromatography. By measuring the extent of bonding between newly synthesized DNA and parent DNA in unirradiated cells it is possible to predict the relative radiation sensitivity of the cell lines. The extent of bonding is inversely proportional to the radiation sensitivity of the cell lines. (author)
