Determination of cross sections for some neutron reactions with structural materials in the BN-350 reactor core
Description
The experimental data on the average values of neutron reaction cross sections on the isotopes of structural materials in the high-enrichment zone of BN-350 reactor core, are obtained. To check up the accuracy in the forecasts of gaseous product formation and changes in the concentration of alloying materials in steels in the process of irradiation the results obtained are compared with calculations. Cross sections of the 92Mo(n,p)97Nb;54Fe(n,p)54Mn; 55Mn(n,γ)56Mn; 56Fe(n,p)56Mn; 56Ni(n,p)59Fe;59Co(n,p)59Fe; 59Co(N,γ)60Fe and 54Fe(n,α)51Cr reactions are determined relative to 235U fission cross section. The data obtained prove that maximum divergence between experimental data and calculations are about 20%
