X-ray fluorescence determination of rare earths in concentrates of small mass

Description
Analytical characteristics of XRFA of rare earths in thin-layer concentrates based on yttrium oxalate have been studied: rare earths yield into the concentrate, background structure and reproducibility, mutual effects of rare earths and interferences from foreign elements, calibration rations and limits of detection. The method developed was tested on natural and model materials and recommended for determining small amounts of preconcentrated rare earths when dilution with an inert matrix necessary for preparation of a thick tablet, is inexpedient
