Statistical correlations of Moessbauer spectra

Description
We present a critical study on the method proposed by Aramu et all for comparison between Moessbauer spectra, using a correlation line. Application of this method is only of practical use when effective thicknesses do not differ by more than 0.25, a limit which was not indicated. In general this eliminates the possibility of discrimination between two unknown samples because deviations from the correlation line can arise from thickness differences as well as from the difference in nature of the samples.
