Chiral fluctuations in t-J and frustrated Heisenberg models
Description
Equal time and dynamical correlation functions associated with uniform and staggered chiral orders are investigated by exact diagonalization of small clusters of the t-J and frustrated Heisenberg models. Our numerical results reveal increasing chiral fluctuations at low energy upon doping in the t-J model or upon increasing frustration in the Heisenberg model. The plaquette-plaquette correlation falls off rapidly with distance leading to a very small upper bound for the chiral order parameter. (orig.)
