Carbon-14 in hydrogeological studies
Creators
Description
The radiocarbon dating technique has become a standard tool for the archaeologist, the Quaternary geologist and the paleobotanist. The hydrogeological application, the age determination of groundwater, is, although technically a straightforward procedure, more complicated from a geochemical point of view. The author's main aim is to state and discuss these problems and to approximate the meaning of a 14C age of groundwater as closely as possible. (Auth.)
