Deformation peculiarities of ZrO2 cubic monocrystals
Creators
Description
Deformation possibilities of materials on the basis of zirconium dioxide were investigated. Monocrystals containing 10 (the M-1 material) and 20% ( the M-2 material) of Y2O3 were chosen for the study. Some experiments were carried out using partially stabilized material (M-3). At the temperature of 1400 deg C increase in ultimate strengths of the M-1 and M-2 materials as compared with room temperature was pointed out. The M-1 material withstood temperature shock in the same manner as the M-2 material. It is showun that when heated the monocrystals considered actually had a higher serviceability than polycrystal ZrO2
