Description
East device is one of national key science technical projects and the first fully superconducting Tokamak Device in the world. Quench protection is very important issues for the safety operation of the Superconducting magnets. There is no precedent in the world on how to carry out quench detection in such complex magnetic circumstance of fully Superconducting Tokamak device. After several commission experiments, quench detection system has been developed and improved which can satisfy predefined requirements and pass acceptance of work now. Basic structure and design principle of the prototype system was involved and also the development process and test results were presented. (authors)
