Description

From a single crystal X-ray analysis it is shown that (CePO4)2(HPO4/SO4) x 5H2O is monoclinic, C6sub(2h) - B2/a, with a porous structure due to a three-dimensional channel system. Along [100], the direction of highest porosity, the limiting oxygen-oxygen distance measures 6.1 A. Crystallographic data for the pseudo-orthorhombic setting, I 2/c: a0 = 10.121(4) A, b0 = 9.483(2) A, c0 = 13.474(5) A, β = 97.90(5)0; z = 4; R = 6% over 1,200 reflexions. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

(CePO4)2(HPO4/SO4) x 5H2O besitzt nach der roentgenographischen Einkristallanalyse eine poroese, von einem 3-dimensionalen Kanalsystem durchzogene Struktur; die Hauptkanaele parallel [100] besitzen Engstellen von ca. 6,1 A. Kristallographische Daten: C6sub(2h) - B2/a; pseudorhombische Aufstellung: I 2/c mit a0 = 10,121(4) A, b0 = 9,483(2) A, c0 = 13,474(5) A, β = 97,90(5)0; z = 4; R = 6% ueber 1.200 Reflexe. (orig.)
