Description
The quantization of circulation and the equation relating the rate of change of phase to the chemical potential in superfluid helium are generalized covariantly. This provides a gauge-invariant treatment of the Josephson effect in superfluid helium. The possibility of the analogue of magnetic monopole, which must satisfy a condition similar to Dirac's quantization condition, is also considered. (author)
