An experiment investigation on the dynamic property of the laser induced Pb plasma

Description
The Stark broadening of the emission spectra from the plasma produced by using 308 nm Excimer laser to ablate the solid Pb sample was measured with an optical multichannel analyzer. The dependence of the Stark broadening on the time delay and the pressure of the buffer gas was investigated. The result was shown that the dynamic property of the Pb plasma induced by laser was different very much compared to that of Mg plasma. The mechanism of the difference was discussed
