Description

This session focused on the technical and programmatic progress in startup, commissioning, and operation of liquid tank waste treatment systems at the Savannah River, Hanford, and Idaho sites. DOE Field site and contractor management described progress and lessons learned with operations at the SRS Salt Waste Process Facility; startup and operations of Tank-Side Cesium Removal and progress in startup of the LAW vitrification facility at Hanford; and cold testing, commissioning, and startup of the Integrated Waste Treatment Unit at Idaho.
