Four-body model of the four-nucleon system
Description
After the work of Faddeev in the three-body problem substantial progress was achieved in the formulation of connected kernel integral equations for the n-body problem (n>=4). Although the resulting equations for the four-nucleon system are, at least in principle, solvable by standard methods, their complexity is so great that few scattering solutions exist for realistic two-body potentials. Durch die Faddeev'sche Behandlung des Dreikoerperproblems wurden bei der Formulierung von Integralgleichungen des n-Koerperproblems (n >=4) mit gekoppelten Kernen wesentliche Fortschritte erzielt. Obwohl die entsprechenden Gleichungen fuer das Viernukleonenproblem wenigstens im Prinzip durch Standardmethoden geloest werden koennen, sind sie so komplex, dass nur wenige Streuloesungen fuer realistische Zweiteilchenpotentiale existieren.
