The expanded boundary reversed field pinch

  • 1. GA Technologies, Inc., San Diego, CA (USA)

Description

Magnetohydrodynamic equilibrium calculations are presented for a reversed field pinch having a boundary consisting of a magnetic separatrix which leads down into an expansion chamber where the heat flux coming out of the hot core of the pinch could be more easily handled. High shear results near the separatrix. (author)
