Theory of the upper critical field in graphite intercalation compounds

Description
The temperature dependence of the upper critical field in graphite intercalation compounds, in particular C8K, is calculated within a model that assumes that superconductivity in C8K arises from a coupling between the s and π bands. Within this two-band model, the dependence of the critical magnetic field on orientation is also calculated, and a transition from type-II to type-I superconducting behavior is predicted
