Serum protein changes in Swiss albino mice after whole-body gamma irradiation
Description
Effects of single whole-body dose of gamma-rays (3.0 Gy) have been studied on the serum protein levels in adult Swiss albino mice at days 1, 3, 7, and 14 postirradiation. Albumin, beta-globulin and gamma-globulin show an insignificant increase at certain postirradiation intervals whereas alpha-globulin depicts a decline in its levels. The results have been discussed in light of the earlier studies. (author)
