Development of the preparation technology of stimuli-responsive materials using radiation

Description

The purpose of this research project is to verify and validate the DeCART code and the multi-physics analysis code system developed through the previous I-NERI projects. This project was conducted through Korea-US I-NERI program. The scope of this research include verification and improvement of DeCART code for VHTR application, verification of DeCART code against LWR numerical benchmark problems for LWR application, verification of DeCART/CORONA coupled multi-physics analysis code system against a numerical benchmark problem for VHTR application, the generation of multi-group cross-section library for fast and thermal reactors, and the application program interface for the multi-group cross-sections. The methodologies and the code systems will be utilized a key technologies in the Nuclear Hydrogen Development and Demonstration program. Export of code system is expected in the near future and the code systems developed in this project are expected to contribute to development and export of nuclear hydrogen production system.
