Projection of interim storage of spent fuel facility in Java Island

Description
Increase in national energy demand in the future has been open the opportunity of new and renewable energy such as nuclear energy to be applied. Around the year of 20127 a nuclear energy application through nuclear power plant to be predicted will enter the interconnection network grid with the capacity of approximately 2 GWe and it will continue to increase up to 12 GWe in 2048. By using a certain assumption and a simple calculation, a projection of interim storage facility can be determined in accordance with the projection of NPP, especially in Java Island. The obtained results shows that the first interim storage facility will be constructed in the year of 2034, and for NPP with capacity about 12 GWe requires the interim storage facility of spent fuel around 16-18 units.
