Description

The paper is concerned with the determination of the time of the blood flow in the arteries and veins of the pulmonary circulation. A study is conducted with a radioisotope method using hippuran or albumin labeled with 131I. Two scintillation sensors are placed over the cardiac region and the terminal sections of the arteries of the pulmonary circulation. This method permits measuring the time of the blood flow in the pulmonary circulation (PC), and separately in the arteries (APC) and veins (VPC) of the pulmonary circulation. Indices in healthy people are: PC=5.6+-0.4 sec, APC=1.6+-0.08 sec, VPC=4.1+-0.3 sec. Separate recording of the time of the blood flow in the arteries and veins of the pulmonary circulation extends the posibilities of the evaluation of disorders in hemodynamics and control over therapeutic efficacy
