Systems of ammonium polyborates-amino alcohols-water and their inhibitor properties

Description
Ternary water systems of ammonium tetraborate (pentaborate), mono-, di-and triethanolamine have been studied, their inhibitor properties being considered. It is shown that ammonium polyborates and mono- and diethanolamine form hydrates double compounds, which gradually undergo aminolysis with formation of the relevant amine salts. It has been ascertained that the systems with ammonium tetraborate feature a greater inhibitor capacity as regards ferrous metals, compared with pentaborate. 22 refs., 1 fig., 2 tabs
