The assessment of radiation hygiene impacts of the existence and operation of the Nuclear Research Institute
Description
Methods are described of the control of environmental contamination in the area of UJV. Tables are presented showing the results of monitoring the radioactivity of water in the Vltava river upstream and downstream of the waste water discharge outlet. Measurements of the radioactivity of the atnosphere, of atmospheric fallout and of plant ash are carried out on samples taken in a radius of 5 km around UJV. The results how show that the contamination of the environment which by far does not reach the set limits is not due to the UJV nuclear facilities. (J.B.)
