Imaginary part of the nucleon self-energy in a relativistic field theory
- 1. Nuclear Theory Center, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana 47405 (USA)
Description
The imaginary part of the off-shell nucleon self-energy Σ(ω,k) in nuclear matter is investigated in the σω model using fourth-order contributions in the meson-nucleon couplings. We discuss contributions from particle-hole excitations, Pauli blocking of N bar N excitations, and vacuum polarization to the various Lorentz components of the self-energy
