Prostaglandin E1: cAMP level and radiosensitivity of cultured B-82 cells

Description
In experiments mice L-fibroblasts, clone B-82, was shown that incubation of the cells for 5 minutes with prostaglandin E1 before the X-irradiation leads to a decrease in radiosensitivity of B-82 cells. Radioprotective concentrations of prostaglandin E1 caused an increase in the intracellular cAMP content. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Bei Versuchen mit L-Fibroblasten von Maeusen, Klon B-82, wurde gezeigt, dass eine Inkubation der Zellen mit Prostaglandin E1 fuer die Dauer von 5 Minuten vor der Roentgenbestrahlung eine Abnahme der Strahlensensibilitaet der B-82-Zellen zur Folge hat. Bei fuer eine Strahlenschutzwirkung ausreichenden Prostaglandin-E2-Konzentrationen wurde ein Anstieg des intrazellulaeren cAMP-Gehaltes festgestellt. (orig.)Additional details
