Boundary conditions for quantum cosmology

Description

Quantum field theory can be formulated as a path integral over field configurations between initial and final surfaces. This is the approach which is usually adopted, for example in quantum cosmology. This raises the question as to which suitable boundary conditions have to be imposed for various types of field. We answer this question and calculate the one-loop corrections to the wave function of the universe. (orig.)
