Radiation doses to patients resulted from 99mTc-pyrphotech and 113mIn-indifor usage

Description
The results of determination of doses of internal irradiation of patients using radiopharmaceuticals (RPh) of 99mTc-pyrphotech and 113mIn-indifor on the base of pharmacokinetics data are presented. Relative distribution of activity in the human organism has been determined with the use of whole-body counter-type device applying the technique of successive shielding of organs in the course of radiometry. The data obtained are tabulated. The results of estimation of effective dose equivalent are also given for investigated RPh: 8.6 and 16 μSv/MBq for 113mIn-indifor and 99mTc-pyrphotech, respectively. For indifor and for pyrphotech the critical organ is the urinary bladder wall, the dose equivalent for which constitutes 65 μSv/MBq for indifor and 56 μSv/MBq for pyrphotech
