Radiation-chemical scavenger investigation of 1,1,2-trifluoro-1,2,2-trichloroethane

Description
The use of iodine as a scavenger in F-113 (1,1,2-Trifluoro-1,2,2-trichloroethane) is reported. The conversion concentration curve is presented. For further radiation-chemical characterization of the solvent, the radiation-induced polymerization of methyl methacrylate in F-113 has been measured. At a dose rate of 302 rd/min, the polymerization proceeds inhomogeneously over a large part of the mixing range.

Es wird ūber den Einsatz von Jod als Scavengcr in F-113 (1,1,2-Trifluor-l,2,2-lrichloräthun) berichtet. Die Umsatz-Konzentralionskurve ist dargestellt. Zur iveileren strahlenchemischen Charakterisierung des Lösungsmittels ist die slrahleninduzierte Polymerisation von Methylmethacrylat in F-113 gemessen worden. Bei einer Dosisleistung von 302 rd/min verläuft die Polymerisation im gröβeren Teil des Mischungsbereiches inhomogen.Additional details
