Extraction of platinum metals from acid sulphate solutions with the help of thiourea in autoclave

Description
Solutions of the following compositions were used, g/l: 150-250 H2SO4, 4-30 Ni, 20-30 Cu; 1-3 Fe; 0.8-1.5 As; mg/l: 80-200 Rh; 30-80 Ru; 10-30 Ir; 0-40 Ag; 30-80 Se; 150-700 Te; Pd and Pt were absent. It is shown that complete precipitation of all the valuable components is achieved at 210-220 deg C. Iridium and tellurium are most difficult to precipitate - 71 and 64%. Rh, Ru and Ag are fully precipitated. The method has been checked on an industrial scale, on a continuous column autoclave
