Description
We propose a new correction method of the blurring which is caused by a collimation system in SPECT. The blurring of reconstructed images differs with the geometry of collimator hole, and with the distance between the collimator surface and the source. Therefore the blurring has shift-variant property. The proposed method eliminates the blurring iteratively and estimates the ideal projection data which are free from the collimator aperture. The results of simulation showed improvement of spatial resolution in reconstructed images. (author)
