Description

The NEA recently published a report entitled ''Achieving Nuclear Safety, Improvements in Reactor Safety Design and Operation''. This report reviews the significant efforts that have been made in recent years to enhance the safe design and operation of nuclear reactors in OECD countries. The report shows how these efforts have led to a more coherent and consistent approach to safety, which has gone a long way to minimizing the risk of major problems with the operation of today's reactors.
