DFLKTR the code for designing the electrostatic extraction system for cyclotrons

Description
The main consideration in the design of any extraction system is to obtain as high extraction efficiency as possible for multienergies and multiparticle machines. The major deciding factors which effect the extraction efficiency are, the quality, the turn separation of the beam and the configuration of the channel. The acceleration history of the beam inside the cyclotron decides the quality and the turn separation of the beam whereas configuration of the channel is mainly decided by the effects prevailing at the extraction. By properly evaluating the above mentioned factors, an optimum configuration of the channel for getting reasonable extraction efficiency, can be obtained. For the given set of conditions the program DFLKTR evaluates the above mentioned factors and gives a suitable configuration of the channel
