Description

Recoil range distribution (RRD) of radioactive evaporation residues in 19F + 93Nb reaction were measured by recoil catcher end off line gamma ray spectrometry at 73 and 95 MeV projectile energies. The RRDs of In, Cd and Ag products were found to agree with those expected for complete fusion products while the RRD's for Rb, Ru and Tc products showed low range components indicative of incomplete fusion (ICF) process. The ICF cross section in the present system is found to be much less than that in 12C + 93Nb and 16O + 89Y reactions studied previously. This shows that the alpha cluster structure of projectile affects ICF probability. (author). 3 refs., 2 figs
