Constraints of mesozoic-cenozoic tectonic-sedimentary evolution on uranium mineralization in the central and southern Bayin gobi basin and prospecting prediction

Description

The Baying gobi Basin is a Mesozoic-Cenozoic superimposed basin developed on the basis of Paleozoic marine basins. The tectonic stress in the south-central part of the basin is relatively complex. It has undergone early Cretaceous fault depression, fault depression transition and late Cretaceous depression, which directly affects and controls the sedimentary filling of the Baying gobi Formation and forms a sedimentary system dominated by alluvial fan-fan delta-lake. Multi-stage and multi-stage tectonic-sedimentary evolution controls the development of ore-forming fluids and interlayer oxidation zone from the edge of depression to the center of depression, and uranium mineralization occurs near oxidation-reduction barrier. Uranium metallogenesis is controlled by tectonic evolution, sedimentary facies and interlayer oxidation zone. In the process of tectonic-sedimentary evolution, different types of fan deltas alternate and superimpose evolution, and their uranium metallogenic attributes should be distinguished while qualitative prediction is made. Located fan delta stack is the basis of prospecting and prediction. It is the future prospecting and prediction direction of the south-central Baying gobi Basin to search for structural denudation skylight and secondary depression on large slope belt, and to locate the tectonic activation area in the stable stage of tectonic structure, or the stable area (sedimentary discontinuity) in the low-intensity active area.
