Observed p-Mode spectra of Ap stars and the Sun
Creators

Description
Five rapidly oscillating Ap (roAp) stars have shown evidence of multiple p-mode pulsations in their light or radial velocity variations for which estimates of their fundamental frequency spacing Δν0 can be made. These stars and the Sun have ratios of Δν0/ν which fall near 0.025 and 0.04. Since Δν0/ν should be roughly proportional to 1/(n + l/2), it is possible that there are common selected overtone regimes for the pulsations of the roAp stars and the Sun
