Oscillations in KT Per during two outbursts

  • 1. Tel Aviv Univ. (Israel). Dept. of Physics and Astronomy

Description

Two outbursts of the dwarf nova KT Per have been observed with a high speed photometer. Pulsations with periods of 22.5 to 29.5 s were detected during both outbursts. The pulsations increased in period as the light intensity decreased. The results are compared with the predictions of two different models suggested to explain the nature of the pulsations in dwarf novae. (author)
