Lithium-induced thyroiditis in a patient with bipolar affective disorder: A rare presentation

Description
Lithium is used in the treatment of bipolar disorder to manage and stabilize mood, proving effective in addressing both manic and depressive phases. In these patients, the use of lithium is associated with various thyroid disorders, such as goiter and hypothyroidism, thyrotoxicosis is a rare presentation. In this case report, we demonstrated lithium-induced thyroiditis on thyroid scintigraphy. (author)
