Contamination, contamination protection and contamination measurement during a steam generator revision in a power plant with a pressurized water reactor
Description
For in-service eddy current inspection of steam generators, the inlet and outlet chambers must be opened on the primary side. The chambers must be entered several times for installation and removal of the test instruments or to seal a located defective tube. Inside the chambers, contamination and dose rates are high. Extensive measures and measurements are required to keep the personnel dose within the permissible range and to avoid incorporation, contamination of persons, and distribution of contaminants. The problems of workplace monitoring are discussed at length. (HP)

Bei der Wiederholungspruefung am DE mittels Wirbelstrom muessen primaerseitig die Ein- und Austrittskammern geoeffnet werden. Es sind mehrere Einstiege in die Kammern noetig, um die Pruefgeraete ein- und auszubauen, oder, falls ein defektes U-Rohr gefunden wird, dieses dicht zu verschliessen. In der Kammer herrschen hohe Dosisleistung und starke Kontamination. Umfangreiche Massnahmen und Messungen sind erforderlich, um die Personendosis in den vorgeschriebenen Grenzen zu halten und Inkorporation, Personenkontamination und Kontaminationsverschleppungen zu vermeiden. Die Problematik der Arbeitsplatzueberwachung wird naeher beschrieben. (HP)Additional details
