Monte Carlo simulation models for 3-D electron beam dose mapping. Comparison of dose predictions with dosimetry
Creators
Description
A Monte Carlo model was constructed to simulate processing four different products at two different 10 MeV electron beam facilities. With appropriate simplification, relative differences in model dose predictions were in good agreement with the corresponding results of two dosimetry experiments. Uncertainties with regard to nominal operating conditions and dosimeter location were addressed and highlight the need for precision when making absolute comparisons
