Ultimate slope torsatrons
Description
Magnetic configuration and geometry of the ultimate slope (l=2, 3 and 4) torsatrons with AB aspect ratio of the helical windings (HW) near (AB ∼1.0 - 1.5) unit are investigated. HWs with number of periods by the large torus perimeter mB=1 are considered. Due to the magnetic system ultimate large toroidality it was necessary to consider many variants to choose the acceptable solutions regarding the production technology simplicity and the efficient arrangement of boundary magnetic surface. This part of investigation was conducted by the machined designed methods with plotting of helical lines on the torus and winding different cross sections by means of a plotter
