Local density approximation in the theory of medium-heavy nuclei
Description
The novel scheme for solving Fermi hyper-netted chain (FHNC) equations for inhomogeneous systems based upon local density approximation for the two-body FHNC quantities is developed and applied to study the ground state energy and the momentum distribution function of medium-heavy nuclei such as 40Ca.
