The ESR spectroscopy
Description
Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy or ESR is a prime method to investigate compounds with a non zero electronic spin. In the first of this paper, the basis of this technique is exposed in the case of S = 1/2 systems. Exploitation of spectra and structural and electronic informations one can get are particularly stressed. The second part is devoted to recent developments, especially high-frequency EPR and pulsed EPR. (author)
