Solving materials related problems for the coal and mineral processing industries : use of SEM-EDX techniques
Creators
Description
The use of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis has many current and potential applications for the coal and mineral processing industries. HRL Technology has for many years used SEM-EDX technology to investigate the failure of plant, the formation and deposition of unwanted ash by-products, and in analysing substances of environmental concern. Common types of materials analysed have included minerals, refractories, inorganic ash products, metals and various types of air-borne dusts, fibres and oil residues
