A new very-large Perfect Crystal Neutron Interferometer

Description

Full text: The different stages of the machining of the largest crystal interferometer are presented. Path length, beam separation and enclosed beam area are exceeding, by far, the dimensions of hitherto prepared interferometer crystals. Due to its large dimensions and the step like cut middle plates it can be used as multi-purpose instrument: The interferometers lower part serves as a compact, extremely sensitive angle measuring device. The upper part is mainly used for gravitation experiments where three interference loops can be used with the same interferometer. (author)
