On deep inelastic e-p scattering in the vicinity of ω approximately equal to 1

In order to distinguish between the different theoretical approaches the deep inelastic e-p scattering data in the regions of ω approximately equal to 1 have been analyzed. The q2-dependence of the structure functions arising in asymptotically free field theories, parton models with pointless partions and scale invariant parton model have been used. The analysis showed that the considered data cannot favour any of the discussed theoretical schemes. A combined analysis of the deep inelastic and elastic e-p scattering data has been carried out.
