Initial parton distributions in high energy nucleus-nucleus collisions

Description

Simple criteria are proposed for characterizing the partons which are produced at the early stage of ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions. These partons have an average transverse momentum which grows with the size of the colliding nuclei
