Electronic structure and metal-nonmetal transition in GdxBi2-xRu2O7 and NdxBi2-xRu2O7

Description
The GdxBi2-xRu2O7 and NdxBi2-xRu2O7 electron structures having the metal-nonmetal transitions in the x = 1.4 - 1.6 area is studied. It is shown that by replacement of bismuth atoms through the atoms of rare earth elements there appear nonequivalent charge states of the oxygen atoms; delocalization of valent electron density of ruthenium atoms takes place and covalency of the Ru - O bond increases

Исследовано электронное строение GdxBi2-xRu2O7 и NdxBi2-xRu2O7, имеющих преход металл-неметалл в области х = 1.4 - 1.6. Показано, что при замещении атомоов висмута атомами редкоземельных элементов появляются неэквивалентные зарядовые состояния атомов кислорода, происходит делокализация валентной электронной плотности атомов рутения, возрастает ковалентность связи Ru - OAdditional details
