Separation of small amounts of Co(II) from Cr(Ⅵ), Mo(Ⅵ), W(Ⅵ), and Al(III) by coprecipitation with iron(III) hydroxide

  • 1. Tajik National University, Dushanbe (Tajikistan)

Description

The coprecipitation of radioactive isotope Co-60 with microgram quantities of inactive Cr(Ⅵ), Mo(Ⅵ), W(Ⅵ) and Al(III) is studied in present work. The coprecipitation of Cr(Ⅵ), Mo(Ⅵ), W(Ⅵ) with iron(III) hydroxides is studied by means of radioactive isotopes Cr-51, Mo-99, W-185 with inactive ions of Co(II) and Al(III). On the basis of experimental data the simple and effective method of separation of cobalt(II) from Cr(Ⅵ), Mo(Ⅵ), W(Ⅵ), and Al(III) with iron(III) hydroxide is elaborated. The method is described.
