Heavy flavour production at high energies

A form of high energy factorization has been recently proposed in order to find the small-x behaviour of heavy mass production in QCD. Here we review the method and discuss its application to heavy flavour photo- and lepto-production at asymptotic and Hera energies. (orig.)
